“The world from two feet off the floor…”

Okay, so the Proclaimers’ song “Lulu Selling Tea” actually says, “The world from FOUR feet off the floor.” But my two year old is only about 2 feet tall, so I’m adapting the line! For a while now, I’ve wanted to post the photos he takes with my phone — they are so wacky, and yet there is often something about them that catches you off guard. It’s as if he sees light and color in a way that I don’t — until I look at his photos.

Then again, every mother thinks her children are geniuses, right? So, just for fun, here are a few of his photos…

  1. I love these photographs and I see what you mean about seeing colour and patterns. What a great way to see in the mind of a toddler/young child!

    1. Thanks, Ruth! Yes, I am just noticing the patterns in the bricks… I’m hoping he’ll take more good ones soon! Yesterday, he took a bunch of a paper cup, so I will probably not post that one… 🙂

  2. These are just great. What a different perspective. They really do make you think. More please! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Katie! Yes, kids do a have a unique, more honest perspective, I think. Whenever I start getting grumpy and agitated, I only have to listen to my kids, and they let me know I’m being a pain! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Kendra! I have a few more that I need to post… Yes, I’m sure we could all learn a lot from children’s photos about different ways to look at the world!
